Mobile network operators and carriers operate the nationwide infrastructure of Telecom Towers. Known as Base Station Transceiver Stations (BTS) they form the major component of the GSM cellular network. They transmit and receive radio signals coming to and from mobile phones. The towers have BTS shelters which house the electronic communications equipment that is connected to the antennas on the BTS tower. AKCP sensors are used to monitor environmental conditions in the shelters, as well as an interface to third-party equipment for remote monitoring.
Due to many BTS sites being in remote locations, security and power can be issues that are of major concern. Protecting the site from thieves and vandalism, as well as ensuring 100% uptime requires a robust approach to monitoring security, controlling site access, and maintaining power.
Logging of all data on AKCPro Server centralized monitoring platform. From your operations center, monitor the entire BTS tower infrastructure, mapping with drill down from global to local and individual site plans. Generate reports, alerts, and notifications, view the security status and control access to BTS tower sites.
Tower operators must meet their commitments defined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Failure to do so results in financial losses and network downtime. Remote monitoring of power and site security ensures that BTS towers are operational and backup power systems ready when called upon.
